Cruise Cush was created by a pediatric nurse Misty Deneen and a certified child life specialist Lisa Beltran after years of witnessing how stressful hospital transport can be for children. We created a removable, themed rail cover that brings familiar colors and child-friendly imagery into the transport environment.

Hospitals work hard to create welcoming spaces for children, but the transport equipment used between those spaces often remains plain and unfamiliar. As a pediatric nurse and child life specialist we saw an opportunity to bring child-friendly themes directly into the transport environment. That inspired Cruise Cush, a removable themed gurney rail cover designed to complement existing pediatric workflows.
As a Child Life Specialist, I instantly saw the value in what Cruise Cush is creating. Themed bumpers like these would completely change the tone of the gurney. It's such a thoughtful, child centered design.
